Field Day

The Pembrokeshire YFC Field Day sees members competing in agricultural-based challenges and activities.

Field Day is held in the Spring and includes various competitions, for example, Stock Judging, Farm Machinery Skills (e.g. farm safety skills, first aid and knowledge of safe use of farm machinery and quad bikes), Fencing and Auctioneering.

Stock Judging is a skill the young farmers learn and develop throughout their YFC journey and consists of several disciplines; Butcher’s Beef, Dairy Cattle, Butcher’s Lambs, Breeding Ewes, Pigs and Lamb Carcass.

The winners of each competition have the opportunity to go forward and represent Pembrokeshire at Wales and National levels.
