Tree-mendous effort
15/04/2009A small band of young farmers took on a big task to help create a legacy commemorating the 70th anniversary of the county federation.
Thirteen members, leaders and county officials joined together to plant 70 trees at Clun Woods in the Gwaun Valley.
The tree planting was kindly arranged by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park ranger Geraint Harries and rural affairs specialist Ben Evans, and saw the group scale a steep bank high above the picturesque valley to plant the 70 saplings.
It is hoped the trees will flourish and provide a living record of the county’s 70th anniversary milestone.
