Pembrokeshire County Show

What an excellent County Show it turned out to be for members and friends of Pembrokeshire YFC.

In spite of the weather being somewhat challenging at times, the atmosphere in the YFC enclosure was always warm and sunny.
We were delighted to welcome back so many old friends of the Movement who came to support the receptions and also to view the display of photographs spanning the last 70 years. We were also honoured to have Mr Lionel Hill OBE, President of NFYFC as our guest on the Tuesday.
On the Thursday we faced the FUW, NFU & PAS in a ‘chopstick challenge’ which was kindly sponsored by Bethesda Meats. Congratulations to the jubilant NFU team.
Our members were also very busy competing and taking part in the various activities. A very sincere thank you to all who helped in any way, be it competing, stewarding or helping with the refreshments. Your help was greatly appreciated. The E R Phillips trophy for charity and community work was this year awarded to South Pembs YFC.
Warm congratulations to Llawhaden YFC who were the overall winners.
The year book was also launched at the Show and is available from the County Office for a mere £3.
We also extend congratulations to Non Thorne, Tiers Cross YFC, on winning the PAS Student Bursary for this year.
